The Africa Peace Tour will commence its Fall 2006 Tour. The Tour strives to promote citizen action for a more people oriented US policy toward Africa. The 2006 Tour is taking place before the mid term elections, which means an opportunity to raise foreign policy issues. The current violence in Iraq is worrisome because vital resources that might be used in Africa, domestically or in other parts of the world are being used in Iraq. The African people are watching these events and consequences very carefully. It is our hope that students, faculties and other citizens begin to look at current US Africa policy and join the effort to engage in the policy making process, one that hopefully benefits Africa and Africans.
